Eureka!  I have made a discovery:

During a mail conversation with John Cowan I said that it
was difficult to express things like "Both right and left
hands have five fingers" without using non-logical connectives
such as {jo'u} ({je} doesn't work, since {ko'a pritu je zunle}
means that both X is to the right and X is to the left, which
is a contradiction).  I have now discovered another way
of expressing it.  {ro lo pritu ba'e _ja_ zunle xance cu ponse mu degji}
in contrast I think solves the problem.  As another example
{ro lo blanu ja xunre cu skari} is the same, according to logic,
as {ro lo blanu .e ro lo xunre cu skari}, by a rather long
chain of reasoning including things like
{lo'i blanu ku jo'e lo'i xunre cu su'osi'e lo'i skari},
which I'd be happy to send on request.
